Aoza Production

Aoza is a production agency specialized in contemporary dance, run by Aline Berthou and Marion Cachan. Divided in two offices (between Brest and Rennes), Aoza developps a made-to-measure support for artistic projects for production and administration. It can also offer services for distribution and communication. Aoza stands for horizontal relationships and long-term collaborations.

Marion Cachan

Production manager and cofounder of Aoza
Marion was born in 1991. She lives in Côtes d’Armor and works in Rennes.
After studying performing arts at Rennes 2 University, she specialized in production and graduated with a Master degree “Management du spectacle vivant” at UBO University in Brest.
From 2013 to 2015, she worked for Le Fils du grand réseau – Pierre Guillois.
From 2015 onwards, Marion decidated herself to supporting choreographers and collaborates since then with Simon Tanguy, Marzena Krzeminska, Gaël Sesboüé, Betty Tchomanga and Marie Desoubeaux.
In 2019, she created the production office Aoza, specialised in accompaniment of choreographic projects with Aline Berthou.
Besides her work, she is a member of the board of LAPAS (association des professionnels de l’administration du spectacle/ organization for performing arts producers). She also teaches at the University of Rennes 2 in the Performing Arts Department.

Aline Berthou

Production manager and cofounder of Aoza
Aline was born in 1991. She lives and works from Brest.
After studying Literature in Brest, Rennes and Dublin, she studied theatre at l’Institut d’étude théâtral at Paris-Sorbonne Nouvelle University to specialize in production.
She worked at Nouveau Théâtre de Montreuil (direction Mathieu Bauer) and at T2G – Centre dramatique national de création contemporaine (direction Pascal Rambert) 
She left Paris for Brest and started to collaborate with choregraphers. She worked with Aurélien Richard (2015-2017), Jody Etienne (2016-2019), Henrique Furtado (2016-2020), Aloun Marchal (2016-2020 ), Flora Détraz (2017-2022), Marie-Laure Caradec (2017 – ), Joachim Maudet (2020-2022) and Mathilde Bonicel (2022 – ).
Besides her work, she participated to à Domicile – autour de la danse contemporaine residencies in Guissény, the village where she grew up.

Charlotte Cancé

Production manager
Originally from the east of France, Charlotte studied history at the University of Strasbourg and worked at the same time for the contemporary music festival Musica.
She then went on to study for a master’s degree at Science Po to learn about the administration of live performances.
After graduating in 2017, she moved to Brittany where she worked as a production manager at the Triangle, cité de la danse in Rennes. Between 2018 and 2020 she deepened her skills in administrative positions (Figure Project company, Armada Production).
In January 2020, she decided to devote herself to the accompaniment of artistic projects and began her collaboration with the company Le Pôle. In June 2020, she joined the production company Aoza.

Roxane Torche

Administrator
Originally from Finistère, Roxane began her career accompanying multidisciplinary artists in the summer in her home town. She studied English in Ireland and then went on to complete a degree in Performing Arts with a specialisation in film at the University of Rennes 2.
From 2012 to 2019 she worked in France, Australia, England and Scotland in organisations and festivals in cultural coordination, team management and communication (Kann al Loar festival, Muzz Buzz, GSi Events).
She resumed her studies in 2016 to finalise her training in administration by joining the Master 2 Management of Live Performance in Brest. Back in France in 2019, Roxane settled in the Rennes metropolis and dedicated herself to the production and administration of contemporary dance (association Louma, Triangle cité de la danse). She continued her career in a local authority by managing a cultural and associative service with a multidisciplinary programme.
In September 2022, Roxane joined Aoza on occasional missions and then as administration manager.
She is also a volunteer in several structures including the UBU in Rennes.

Charlotte Bayle

Production officer
Charlotte studied political science and social sciences at university, during which she worked in England and studied in Japan, before graduating from Sciences Po Lille with a master’s degree in Management of Cultural Institutions (2021).
Charlotte transposed her interest and practice of contemporary dance by joining the team of the Gymnase CDCN (direction Céline Bréant, Roubaix) in cultural mediation for one year, then in a production position for a choreographic festival for young audiences.
In the summer of 2022, from the city of Lyon, Charlotte starts to collaborate with Flora Détraz in production administration, while consolidating her administrative, production and development skills with Pauline Barascou (La Table Verte – Maison de production). The collaboration for the company PLI (Flora Détraz) continues in February 2023 within the production office Aoza.

Justine Gallan

Production officer
Since 2012, Justine has been working as a production manager for different cultural structures: the companies Bakélite, Propagande C, Lola Gatt, PLI, TM Project, Les Danses de Dom, Collectif sous le manteau…
In parallel she accompanies the artists of Aoza on specific missions.

Aoza joins HF Bretagne values and supports actions in favor of equality in Arts. Aoza participates to the actions lead by LAPAS (l’Association des Professionnels de l’Administration du Spectacle/organization for performing arts producers).
