Marie-Laure Caradec
Born in Bretagne in 1981, Marie-Laure Caradec discovered contemporary dance at the age of 6 in workshops given by Maribé Demaille. After being trained at the Centre de Développement Chorégraphique de Toulouse (2001) and at the Isola Danza Academy in Venice (2002), she began performing for various choreographers in 2003. She collaborated with Herwann Asseh, Gaël Sesboué, Dominique Brun, Aurélien Richard, Olivier Dubois… From 2001 to 2007, she participated in improvisation and composition workshops directed by Susan Buirge at the Abbaye de Royaumont. In this context, she created a duet performed by Taoufiq Izeddiou and Tae-Sang Lee. She obtained her State Diploma in 2012 at the CND (Paris) and has since been directing various workshops. For several years, when she is not dancing, Marie-Laure has been practicing aikido with Léo Tamaki and obtained her 1st Dan in 2014.

A simple movement as beginning: a step moving back-and-forth. Move to and come from. A step repeated with relentlessness. Until saturation. Until it distorts, it transforms and then stops. Until it oppens new fields of perception. Until letting it go to reach some more deep layers of our unconscious.
I then live the eternal renewal of present. Projection of the past in the furture, flashback of the furture already there. This step yells. It makes my imagination swirl, puts me under-hypnosis and drives me away… I seek for strategies to avoid my deletion. I try to find ways to stay present, through it, to my environnement, to the score, to myself. To make it become the net of our worries and hopes.

Off • Creation 2019
Off is a choreographic concert exploring nocturnal universe. Three performers, plunged into darkness, seek for new fields of perception. How can we adapt to the disappearance of light? Abandon is necessary and alertness becomes vital. No certainty remains. We are left with impressions to interpret, doubt to use, a space to invent. As place of all possibilities and all banishments, the night gives access to another reality and moves the limits of our knowlegde.

Succession • Creation 2020
Succession* is about inheritance, social reproduction and family emancipation, and explores the connections between the word and the body.
The text will be written by Arnaud Cathrine (novelist, for adults and for teenagers and children, dramagurge and author of musical shows, artistic director for various festivals of Literature), in collaboration with Noémie Rosenblatt and Marie-Laure Caradec.
The piece will be performed by 4 actors/dancers, to figure a family over 3 generations gathered for a meal.
Succession is about family connections and emancipation.
